While pop veterans Black Lace were helping to celebrate the 75th anniversary of Priory Hill Holiday Park in Leysdown, with Danny Dyer, The Seaside Pub (formerly The Beach) in Minster was drumming up a crowd at the other end of the Island with glam rock tribute band Glamstar.

Srudents of Leigh Academy Minster gave it their all for their end-of-term production of Fame! The Musical over two nights at the Sheppey Little Theatre and brought the house down with whoops and cheers from the audience.

Three comedians, corralled by veteran comic Kevin McCarthy, kept the small but perfectly-formed audience entertained at the Criterion Blue Town on the Isle of Sheppey.

This was heart-in-the-mouth theatre in its finest form as Hyland delivered line after faultless line of perfect prose brought to life with exquisite detail and the cleverest of subtle mime.
